Because they don’t take quite as long to approve, they are considered a source of “quick cash” for many homeowners. However, they must be paid back quickly to avoid paying more in the long run. In other words, if you are looking to take out a lot of money, be sure you can pay it back quickly with a home equity line or you’ll end up paying a lot in interest over the years.
