Top Portland Real Estate Agent

I’m writing this article in appreciation of Portland Real Producers magazine! Thank you for the cover feature. Portland Real Producers exists to inform and inspire real estate agents, as well as deepen relationships between Portland’s top real estate agents. Below are a few fun excerpts from the cover article Stephen FitzMaurice interview.

Intro:

We wonder how he does it. Top 1% of Realtors in Oregon. He started in the business at age 22 (licensed in 2003) when a friend getting into origination home loans suggested that he be a good Realtor.

Background:

Stephen grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, a city known for stunning sunsets. He learned early on he wanted to live his adult life somewhere else so he chose to move to Portland… After starting and running several small businesses at his young age – he sold books online (over 100,000 of them!) and other miscellaneous items. He also fixed and built computers, and did website design.

Teamwork:

“I love division of labor and specialization, I think it makes us better and happier if we can focus on one part of the business,” he says. “When each team member focuses on their strength in the business they are all happier and perform better at their jobs.”

Success:

“Success is a mentally and physically healthy individual, one who is well loved and loves well.”
