History of EXP

Glenn Sanford founded EXP in 2009 as the first cloud-based brokerage. By 2012, Sanford became recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential in Real Estate.

After becoming publicly traded in 2013, the company launched in Canada in 2014 and tripled its agent count in 2016.

By 2018 EXP joined NASDAQ, opened in all 50 states in the U.S., and acquired 10,000 agents, leading it to be touted as one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work.

Since then, the company has grown exponentially with operations around the world.

Recent EXP Realty News

In recent news, EXP Realty announced its operations expansion into Germany, increasing its numbers to 18 countries and territories and 62,000 agents globally. Now a few weeks later, EXP Realty is at 65,000.

Germany joins the UK, Portugal, France, Italy, and Spain as part of EXP’s European family. Other countries opening new EXP operations in 2021 are Puerto Rico, Brazil, Italy, Hong Kong, Columbia, Spain, Israel, and Panama. In addition, EXP welcomed South Africa, India, Mexico in 2020, joining existing operations in Canada and Australia. Our headquarters are located in the U.S.
